Privacy policy
Chester is made by Distilled. This page says what Chester collects, why, where it is kept, and how to have it removed.
What Chester collects
- Your account. Your name, email address and a password hash, so you can sign in.
- Your workspace. The workspace name, timezone, who its members are and their roles, invitations you send, and your Chester display preference.
- Records you create in Chester. Accounts, contacts, cases, deals, missions, drafts, notes and approvals, as the product adds those features.
- Data from platforms you connect. When you connect a platform, Chester reads only what that connection's permissions allow and shows you the scope before you consent. Each connection can be removed in Settings, which stops the reads.
- Operational logs. Sign-ins, errors and the audit trail of actions taken in the product, kept so that every action is attributable.
What Chester does not do
- Chester never sends email or messages on your behalf. Sending is done by the platform that owns the channel, after a named person approves.
- Chester does not sell personal data and does not use your data to train models for anyone else.
- Chester does not log in to third-party sites with your credentials. Connections use each platform's own authorisation.
Where data is kept and who processes it
Data is stored in a Supabase project in Singapore (AWS ap-southeast-1) and served by Vercel. AI features send the text needed for a task to Anthropic's API, which does not retain it for training. No other processor sees your data.
Retention and deletion
Your data is kept while your workspace exists. Removing a connected platform stops further reads from it. A workspace owner can ask for the workspace and its data to be deleted, and any person can ask for their account to be deleted, by writing to mr@meetdistilled.com. Deletion is completed within 30 days; backups roll off within a further 30.
Your rights
You can ask to see the data Chester holds about you, correct it, or have it deleted. Write to mr@meetdistilled.com and include the email address you signed up with.
Changes
When this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes are announced inside the product.
